I recently went to St.Mary’s ED for some new, unexpected, acute symptoms.  The staff paid great attention to my concerns and responded quickly with a thorough examination and work-up and arranged an overnight stay to follow through on my situation.  The ED was short-staffed at the time and the team was clearly more than busy; I never felt my care was compromised.  This is a fantastic community hospital, known amongst my own clinical colleagues as being one of the best emergency departments in Montreal - the one that they would choose to go to. Thank you all for your excellent care.

I was there for an emergency crisis. Ive been going through some rough tims in my life. I went there asking for mental help desperately because I'm suffering from a nervous breakdown shaking, crying, cold, tired, feel like my heart is giving up and yet the doctor on Tuesday had 0 empathy for me. She didn't give me any advice. All she told me wass oh you're just stressed in life that's all it's not like you're dying.. I asked for something like a prescription or a referral and she told me that she was busy and that she needed to leave. I swear I never stopped suffering with a crisis worst than ever from that day she was the worst doctor that I've ever seen. No sympathie, no nothing. In other words to my understanding, if somebody dies because they denied giving them help.. they wouldn't care. Great job doc. You should get your license revoked. Pire urgence. Laisse les patients dans une douleur extrême attente de quasiment 3heures pour des tylenol et motrin malgré douleur a13/10. Température á 39.6 buccal. Imaginez la peur de faire des convulsions a cause de la température. Le stress d'avoir laisser ma fille de 11jours a peine. Pourtant j'ai accouché dans cet hôpital de on te dis s'il y a un problème post partum on va bien s'occuper de toii. Je regrette je suis rendu a 4 pattes comme une chienne dans la salle improvisé triage. En plus sa prend quasiment 2h pour être trier. Conclusion si tu as peur de laisser ta peau ne vas pas la

I am not a fan of hospitals and the medical system in general. 

Arrived with a life threatening condition they jumped in and save my life They were amazing Thanks to the nurses and doctors u people are doing a great job

Super hopital, super personnel et medecins Occupé comme dans toutes les urgences du quebec mais on est bien traité

EMERGENCY ROOM = EMERGENCY. I see people texting, laughing, chatting, eating, smoking - NONE of you are emergent. Expect hours of wait. When you complain that there is 1 doctor, you are right. That ONE doctor manages the ER and the CONSULTS FOR THE ENTIRE PLACE. If you are not satisfied, by all means call the health minister and VOICE YOUR ISSUES, because I (as a nurse at the ER at the LGH) would LOVEEEEEE nothing more than a properly staffed ER with many doctors, but such is life. And such is public health care - where BUDGET is divised according to hospital by people who don’t work in a hospital. We all want more staff, more nurses and more doctors. So I can go home and not be exhausted from having to take on double patient load and not being able to eat or pee for 13 hours. If you don’t work in health care - you have ZERO idea what actually goes on.

Waited 8 hours without seeing a doctor. The greatest issue was the nurse at triage. Treated the patient like they were just a number: took a set of vital signs and then told them to wait in the waiting room. Nurse made aware the patient had been experiencing shortness of breath, and when asked if the patient should return to see her if they feel short of breath again, she stated that’s for the doctor to evaluate. Terrible triage nurse. We are humans, not a set of numbers.

Great hospital, wonderful staff, better wait time than I have experienced elsewhere

Genial ! Facile de se stationner, infirmiere au triage tres gentille a l’ecoute et compatissante, medecin au top, en 2h tout etait fait! Consultation, echo, explication du traitement. Merci beaucoup l’equipe, pour sûr je reviendrai chez vous si j’ai un probleme un jour.

In and out in 30 min... nurses and drs all great and take the time to look at you in your face and explain you things properly unlike some other hospitals (french system)

Meilleur hopital a vie que jai ete. Les gens sont super gentil , agreable, souriant , sympathique tu voie quil aime leur jobs. La femme de lurgence cest un amour . jai passer tres vite et opérer vite aussi. Je recommende x 1000

In and out in 1.5 hrs including complete bloodwork and results!

Timely service when compared to other hospitals. 3 hrs in and out for blood test and consultation with doctor.

Pris en charge correcte. Le médecin était vraiment prévenant.

Ma conjointe a eu un accident de travail suite a une blessure au dos nous avons pris la chance d’aller a cette hopital, resultat wow ! En seulement deux heures nous avons passer le triage, vue l’infirmiere, s’enregistré et vue le medecin.

2 hrs in and out for a fall during my lreggnancy. Overall good service.

Terrible service, terrible outcome, won't ever go back there again. If you get bit by a tick and have a lyme disease bulls eye rash they are entirely impotent to help you.

J'avaia très mal à l'estomac, j'étais pliée en deux. J'ai attendu 2h seulement avant se voir un médecin. Il a pensé que je faisais une intoxocation. Deux jours plus tard j'avais encore mal, donc on est retournée à l'hôpital. J'ai attendu 4h, et on m'a opérée d'urgence. C'était un dimanche soir. C'était ma première expérience dans un hôpital et ça a été moins pire que je le pensais. Très bon service, le temps d'attente n'est pas trop long!

Ke Delais d’attente à l’urgence de l’hopital est raisonnable les medecins sont extremement competents etgentils mais le suivi par la suite est nul , le meilleur est de voir un autre médecin ailleurs sans attendre un suivi de leur part
